These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pilline mobile application and related services (the “App”), provided by CareBell (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Pilline, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Important medical disclaimer
Pilline is not a pharmacy, healthcare provider, or medical service, and does not provide medical advice. The App is a community platform that helps users discover and share information about medicines and pharmacies. Nothing in the App is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Always consult a qualified doctor or licensed pharmacist before taking, sharing, or accepting any medicine.
- Never use, share, or accept medicine that is expired, opened, damaged, tampered with, or not in its original packaging.
- We do not verify the identity of users, or the quality, safety, authenticity, legality, or suitability of any medicine listed, shared, or requested through the App.
- In an emergency, contact your local emergency services or a medical professional immediately. Do not rely on the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and capable of forming a binding contract to use Pilline. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
You sign in using your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- Sell, trade, or distribute prescription medicines, controlled substances, or any medicine in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
- List medicines that are expired, counterfeit, recalled, opened, or unsafe.
- Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose, or misrepresent any medicine or yourself.
- Post false, misleading, offensive, infringing, or harmful content.
- Harass, threaten, spam, or harm other users, or collect their data without consent.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the App or its systems.
You are solely responsible for complying with all laws and regulations in India that apply to the possession, sharing, or transfer of medicines.
5. User content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as listings, requests, and photos). By submitting content, you grant CareBell a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the App for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
We may remove any content that violates these Terms or that we consider harmful, unlawful, or inappropriate, at our discretion.
6. Interactions between users
Pilline only facilitates connections between users. Any exchange, collection, or transfer of medicine happens directly between users and entirely at your own risk. We are not a party to these interactions and are not responsible for the conduct of any user or the condition of any medicine. Use caution and good judgement when meeting or dealing with others.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that listings, locations, or information are accurate or current.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareBell and its affiliates, directors, and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, harm to health, or injury arising from or related to your use of the App, your interactions with other users, or any medicine obtained or shared through the App. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us to use the App (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CareBell from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App, your content, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or any law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time — see Delete your data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts located in India.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be notified in the App. Continuing to use Pilline after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
